The Emerging Leaders series is a collaboration between the MMAC and Living As A Leader. The program includes six core workshops, accompanied by small-group coaching. This comprehensive process is designed to develop and equip emerging leaders with the skills and knowledge to more effectively interact with and influence others around them. Within the framework of this Series, an Emerging Leader is an individual contributor who is a strong performer and anticipates moving into a leadership role at some point in the future.
Why is professional development important?
One of the common challenges faced by organizations today is the retention of key talent, particularly of high-potential employees. Research shows individuals with less than two years on the job expressed the strongest turnover intentions. The emerging talent of our organizations today has a high turnover risk with more than 25 percent of young professionals planning to leave their jobs each year.
Investing in your high potentials will accomplish two things:
The Emerging Leader Series is a process, not a program or an event. This is a crucial distinction to many opportunities that are available in the realm of professional development. While content is important, the process is multi-faceted to ensure better results!
