Wendy Arends is an attorney and member of the International Trade Compliance team at Godfrey & Kahn. She assists companies with internal policies and procedures, such as “deemed exports,” product classification, and technical assistance agreements. She specializes in matters involving antitrust and trade regulation, international trade compliance, and political law.
Pete Mento is the director of Global Customs and Trade Policy with C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. He is responsible for all Customs and Import transactions globally for all 248 C.H. Robinson offices. He also manages global regulatory compliance, the global marine insurance product and associated legal issues for the Global Forwarding Division. He is a customs house broker, foreign relations expert, trade academic and is considered one of the very few experts in the world who is equally versed in both import and export compliance.
