Attracting and Retaining Employees

Through FUEL Milwaukee, MMAC is refocused on retaining and attracting talent of all ages. Connecting with employers, FUEL has recruited a diverse network of regional professionals.  This pool of talent benefits from networking opportunities, community engagement initiatives, and unlimited access to the people, places and things that will position Milwaukee as the best possible place for them to call home.

As Baby Boomers retire, they take their experience and expertise with them.  From the shop floor to the executive suite, employers will lose a huge amount of intellectual capital and have a significantly smaller pool of talent to draw upon over the next 15 years.  To complicate the situation, Wisconsin is a brain drain state, losing 11,500 young professionals (aged 25-39) from 1995 to 2000.  Wisconsin also has fewer employees of color -- the most rapidly growing employment population.

FUEL employers work together to develop and refine their own employee engagement programs, designed to foster employee loyalty and satisfaction.  More than 55 Employer Members have joined FUEL - giving their companies' access to a skilled network of human resource professionals and program development experts.  Each FUEL company offers membership to its employees as a benefit. The talent network, currently at approximately 6,000, continues to grow.  Will you join us?
