TBC Investment Benefits

The Business Council (TBC), a private not-for-profit organization, was established to foster success among ethnically diverse businesses through education and active participation in the larger metro Milwaukee business community and throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The group is an outgrowth of a CEO roundtable composed of black business owners who are members of the MMAC. The roundtable identified a need and developed an organization to address business problems for all minority businesses throughout the state.  While The Business Council is a separate organization with its own Board of Directors, it is one of MMAC's affiliate organizations.

TBC has focused on the following activities to benefit its members:

Economic Development
The minority supplier expansion module is a program to develop larger minority owned businesses by creating strong relationships among members and the larger corporate community that will result in increased business, thereby creating more jobs.  EDB to EDB purchasing is also encouraged.

Information Sharing
Ongoing information sharing on businesses and other issues that impact the minority business community in specific and small businesses in general.

Education & Training
Membership education, training and support.  TBC maintains partnerships with established business assistance programs to offer affordable business and education opportunities.
