Technology Education & Literacy in Schools (TEALS)
Help us close the computer science gap.
Computer science (CS) skills empower young people to compete in today’s economy. Students are eager to learn CS—yet most high schools are unable to offer courses. What is the TEALS Program?
Technology Education and Literacy in Schools (TEALS) is a Microsoft Philanthropies program that connects classroom teachers with tech-industry volunteers to create sustainable CS programs. Volunteers support teachers as they learn to teach CS independently over time. |

Tech professional volunteers
Volunteers with a strong background in computer science and programming form the backbone of TEALS. We need people like you to volunteer to team teach computer science to help close the opportunity gap for thousands of students. >>Volunteer with TEALS |
Teachers and administration
Our mission is to help classroom teachers learn to teach CS and build CS programs at their schools. Teachers partner with TEALS volunteers to team teach classes and prepare to teach CS on their own, while administrators provide invaluable program support. >>Bring TEALS to your school |
Students and advocates
We work with students, parents, advocates, business owners and local leaders to help bring computer science opportunities to high school students. >>Learn more about TEALS |
