2014 Future 50 Winners (PDF)
For the third year in a row, manufacturers that make everything from plastics coatings and steel tubes to custom hardware and interactive kiosks hold the most spots – 15 – on the MMAC’s Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE) Future 50 list for 2014. This year’s list – and the business community in general – reflect the Milwaukee Region’s past as a manufacturing powerhouse and its innovative future. “We are proud of the range of companies that are receiving the award and believe they represent a robust economic future,” said Mary Steinbrecher, executive director of the COSBE.

Reflecting national trends to increase market share and grow revenue, 60% of the companies on MMAC/COSBE’s 2013 Future 50 list do a majority of their business outside regional borders. “These types of companies represent the ‘drivers’ in our regional economy,” said Tim Sheehy, MMAC president. “By exporting goods and services nationally and internationally, these companies are bringing new income home to the region – essentially growing the pie for everyone.”

In aggregate, the 2012 winners had revenues of $889,834,220 – a 32% increase over the previous year – and combined employment of 3,324 at the end of 2011. The companies are projecting to add just over 500 jobs by the end of 2012.
