MMAC Welcomes Foxconn to Wisconsin

The contract manufacturer for Apple and other leading U.S. tech companies announced plans to build a plant in Wisconsin.

​(Milwaukee, WI) The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) said Wednesday that the announcement by Foxconn to locate a facility in Southeastern Wisconsin is a once-in-a-generation investment that will create thousands of jobs and transform the state’s economy. “Wisconsin has been a manufacturing leader for more than 100 years, and with the introduction of this industry, we are ensuring Wisconsin remains the backbone of manufacturing for decades to come,” said MMAC President Tim Sheehy.
 
Foxconn is among the world’s largest companies with global employment of 1.3 million and $136 billion in annual revenues. The company is a leader in research and development, focusing on nanotechnology, wireless connectivity, material sciences and green manufacturing.
