Lately, the agency’s success has expanded into new territory: the world of cookbooks.
Friesland Campina, one of the world’s largest dairy companies, hired Daboost to help write and publish a cookbook about their popular Edam cheese brand, Gallo Azul®. Titled Este es Mi Gallo, Todo Sobre el Queso Viajero: The Cookbook, the 2024 publication explores the heritage, identity and collective pride embodied in the use of Gallo Azul® throughout Mexico. The cookbook comprises 27 chefs’ use of Edam cheese, seamlessly blending recipes with narrative, interviews, portraits and original photography.
Este es Mi Gallo gained the immediate attention of culinary experts around the globe. In June, over 200 countries descended upon Portugal to honor the best publications in food, wine and culinary culture at the 2025 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Este es Mi Gallo received Best Cheese Book in the World and Best Corporate Book in the World, two prestigious recognitions.
During the ceremony, Gourmand Awards President and Founder Edouard Cointreau expressed his appreciation for Este es Mi Gallo:
