All-In Milwaukee is a college completion program that supports high-potential, limited-income, diverse Milwaukee students. Launched in 2019, the program plays a pivotal role in strengthening the region’s talent pipeline. The following data points are indicative of All-In’s impact

  • 90% of All-In scholars are on track to graduate in six years or less.
  • 91% of graduates who have secured a job or are pursuing graduate school are doing so in Wisconsin.

This month, more than 20 AIM scholars will be graduating and joining the 140 AIM alumni. Below are six of these soon-to-be college graduates who are eager to find work within the region.

Oscar Carrillo will graduate from UW-Milwaukee with a degree in education. Born and raised in Mexico City, Carillo learned from an early age the importance of resilience in the face of challenges. These lessons are what fueled his commitment to becoming an educator in Milwaukee.

“I believe deeply that no matter where you come from or how you look, you have the power to impact your community with love, courage and empathy. I was fortunate to have great mentors who poured their wisdom into me, and my mission is to pay that forward, empowering the next generation,” said Carillo.

Carillo is most excited about the prospect of becoming a young educator in middle school and high school classrooms. He hopes to one day pursue higher education within his professional field.

“Milwaukee is a city of opportunity. Since I moved here in 2010, it has provided my family and me opportunities that we would’ve never had back in our native city,” he said.

She hopes to pursue an analyst or research role where she works directly with data, building stronger technical and analytical skills. Motivated by environments that enable her to problem-solve, support others and address gaps in systems that aren’t serving everyone, Gillespie is also on the lookout for opportunities that connect to the legal or justice fields, bridging research with real-world impact.
