Froedtert established its own partnership with All-In Milwaukee by sponsoring a scholar in the program’s incoming 2020 freshmen class. Since 2020, Froedtert has made a remarkable contribution of $125,000 to the program.
"All-In Milwaukee is incredibly grateful for Cathy's leadership at Froedtert, the MMAC and with our partnership. Not only has Froedtert invested financially in All-In, but 12 AIM scholars are interns at Froedtert this summer. Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin have hired seven of our graduates following their college completion – 10% of our graduates in our first two classes. None of this would have been possible without Cathy's leadership and belief in our program and scholars,” said Allison Wagner, All-In Milwaukee’s Executive Director. Nevaeh Milan-Lakes, a Jacobson scholarship recipient, will attend Caroll University upon graduating from Carmen Southeast High School. Taking care of her mother fueled her desire to become a nurse. "I want to help others who need help. I've been following a path down to nursing and helping somebody that I love made me see it. My mom brings out the heart that I have and I want to show it to others as well,” said Milan-Lakes. Alejandra Anderson also received a Cathy Jacobson Scholarship. After graduating from St. Thomas Moore High School, she will attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her passion for nursing is evident in her work at St. Lukes. "I learn each day how to bring better care to my patients and focus a lot on the holistic aspect of healthcare. One thing I notice the most is that patients just want someone to talk to, especially if they will be under our care for some time," said Anderson. Jacobson shared her appreciation for Froedtert, the city of Milwaukee and talented Milwaukee students like Milan-Lakes and Anderson. “Leading Froedtert has been the gift of my life, the privilege of a lifetime… I am not going anywhere. I am still going to be around Milwaukee and hopefully, you know, you will be in the care of those two young women,” said Jacobson to the board.
