FAQs

Each monthly session follows a structured format where members share current business challenges and opportunities. One member typically presents a specific situation they’re facing, and the group engages in focused problem solving using their collective experience. Topics range from strategic expansion and talent acquisition to operational efficiency and market positioning. All discussions remain strictly confidential, allowing for candid sharing of experiences and challenges.

Members attend one two-hour roundtable session monthly. Additional events, including educational forums and networking sessions, are optional.

CGB uniquely focuses on high-growth companies actively scaling their operations. Unlike general business groups, our roundtables exclusively serve CEOs driving companies through significant expansion phases. The combination of peer learning, focused problem solving and growth-oriented resources creates an ecosystem specifically designed for scaling businesses.

CGB membership is limited to one senior executive per company, typically the CEO or President. This ensures open discussion and prevents any conflicts of interest within groups, but our Roundtable team can engage another member of your team in the Executive Roundtable Program at no additional yearly cost.

Groups are strategically assembled to include non-competing businesses of similar size and growth stage. We carefully consider industry diversity, company size, growth trajectory and personal chemistry to create optimal peer-learning environments.

There is a one-time enrollment fee of $500 when you are placed in your roundtable in addition to an annual investment of $500. The annual investment will be prorated depending on the time of year you join.

Yes, MMAC membership is a prerequisite for CGB participation. This ensures access to broader business community resources and maintains the program’s connection to Milwaukee’s larger economic development initiatives.

After initial contact, potential members complete an application detailing their business history, growth metrics and goals. The CGB Steering Committee reviews applications considering fit with existing groups and alignment with program objectives. Most approved candidates can join a group within 90 days.

Many members participate for several years as their companies grow. The average tenure is three to five years, with some members maintaining involvement for 10+ years as they scale through different growth phases.

While regular attendance is encouraged to maintain group dynamics, we understand executives occasionally have conflicts. Members typically attend at least 80% of monthly sessions to maintain active membership status.
