MKE Tech Hub Coalition Launches Synapse to Drive AI Innovation in Milwaukee Manufacturing

Submitted by MKE Tech Hub Coalition

The MKE Tech Hub Coalition announced this week the launch of Synapse, an initiative designed to help mid-market manufacturers evaluate and implement artificial intelligence solutions. The program is intended to provide structured support to small and medium-sized manufacturers who risk falling behind in the rapid evolution toward Industry 5.0.

”While large manufacturers have resources to navigate emerging technologies, our region’s mid-market manufacturers often lack the internal expertise and support needed to keep pace with technological change,” says Kathy Henrich, CEO of MKE Tech Hub Coalition. “Synapse ensures these vital businesses can confidently evaluate and implement AI solutions that drive real business value.”

The initiative offers four key services: strategic advisory services, executive education, proof of value implementations and peer learning networks. Through a hub-and-spoke delivery model, Synapse brings together verified partners including industry veterans, educational institutions and technology firms to provide manufacturers with comprehensive support across their AI journey.

“What makes Synapse unique is our focus on practical, business-driven AI adoption,” adds Sanjay Mohan, Executive Director of AI Strategy at MKE Tech Hub Coalition. “We’re not promoting technology for technology’s sake. Instead, we help manufacturers identify their most pressing business challenges and determine where AI can deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality and competitiveness. This approach dramatically reduces implementation risk while accelerating time to value.”

Several notable partners have already joined the initiative, strengthening the region’s capacity to support manufacturing innovation while creating new opportunities for workforce development and economic growth. The initiative will measure success through technology adoption rates, improved organizational capabilities, community impact, and regional economic growth.
