Most students begin internships during college. For Cristo Rey senior, Rachel Tepach Rodriguez, her time at MMAC marks the fourth internship of her career – a professional resume seldom seen at the high school level.
Tepach participates in Cristo Rey Jesuit High School’s work-study program, an opportunity for students to gain work experience in a variety of industries and build relationships with local companies. She previously interned at Cristo Rey, STRATTEC Security Corporation and St. Rita Square.
This school year, Tepach worked alongside MMAC Database Manager Andrea Medved on numerous membership-related tasks and projects. At the end of her internship, she presented her research on tiered memberships and how this business model is executed at comparable chambers of commerce across the nation.
As Tepach looks to the future, she is excited to pursue her interests in military service and higher education. Tepach enlisted in the Army National Guard and will attend basic training this June. Following her training, she will work part-time in a logistics role at the Wisconsin Army National Guard Branch in Elkhorn.
Tepach will begin college at Marquette University as a first-generation student in the spring of 2026. She plans to study business and entrepreneurship, bringing her one step closer to fulfilling her dream of owning a real estate business and dance studio.
“I’m really proud of myself that I was able to do all of this on my own,” said Tepach. “It helped me realize that I am capable of doing a lot of great things.”
