Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) program provides weekly benefits to eligible unemployed workers. The program is financed solely through employer contributions (taxes). It is not operated as a part of the federal Social Security system, the state Worker's Compensation program or any federal or state welfare program.

Manufacturing & Agriculture Tax Credit (MAC)

The manufacturing and agriculture tax credit (MAC) is intended to enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing and agriculture sectors in Wisconsin and to encourage businesses to locate their manufacturing and agriculture property in the state.

• 2009-2010: $5M annual Research and Development Income Tax Credit
