MMAC is the region’s best business network, bringing members together to develop business, share best practices and build relationships.

Small Business
The majority of MMAC’s members are small businesses. These companies are critical to the local economy and drive the entrepreneurial innovation and job growth. By becoming a MMAC member, you also are part of the Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE), which offers business education programs, opportunities for relationship building and resources specifically focused on the needs of companies with fewer than 300 employees. All included in your membership!


Ethnically-Diverse Business Owners
The Business Council (TBC) is an affiliate of the MMAC. This network creates and maximizes access to economic opportunities and resources for ethnically-diverse businesses.


Executive Roundtables
These confidential groups of 8-12 executives help you resolve your toughest business challenges in a confidential peer setting. It’s working right now for nearly 500 CEOs, CFOs, Senior Executives and Sales Management Executives. Participation in one executive roundtable is included in your dues.

Food and Beverage Manufacturers
The Milwaukee Region’s food and beverage industry is poised for growth and innovation. We are home to more than 250 food and beverage manufacturers employing employ nearly 15,000 workers with $580M in annual payroll. FaB Wisconsin is an affilate of the MMAC that is dedicated to advancing this cluster and growing a pipeline of talent. 


International
Join more than 300 companies and individuals on the leading edge of globalization. Learn how your company can enter or expand in the international market at educational forums that cover an extensive range of practical topics.


Lead Generation
By participating in our monthly Networking Forum meetings, sales and marketing professionals from diverse industries are expanding their contacts and uncovering new growth opportunities.

Developed for those with an entrepreneurial mindset who are aggressively growing their business, these groups act like a virtual advisory board—providing a confidential environment for discussion of critical business issues, experience-sharing and problem solving.

Finding and keeping the best employees gives you a key business advantage. FUEL Milwaukee has engaged more than 6,000 professionals and nearly 60 corporations working to improve the perception of the Milwaukee region and connect young people to their community.

  • Successfully appealing Milwaukee’s Mandated Sick Leave Ordinance 
  • Enacting the manufacturing tax credit, wiping out taxes for manufacturers by 2017
  • Simplifying the state tax code

Public policy agenda
MMAC’s public policy agenda -- the Blueprint for Economic Prosperity -- focuses on three key measures: education and workforce, economic development and promoting and protecting the region’s distinct assets.


MMAC’s advocacy provides:
  • Opportunities to connect with legislators in person and online to discuss issues impacting your business.
  • A scorecard of how your elected officials voted on key legislation impacting business.

Expanding global exports
MMAC is working with the Brookings Institute to increase the amount of exports from the region to the world. Focused on small and mid-sized enterprises, our goal is to assist in growing your business globally.


Milwaukee 7 regional economic development initiative
The Milwaukee 7 continues to build the region’s capacity and unites the region around an agenda to grow, expand and attract world-class businesses.

  • Since 2005, 8,000+ direct jobs have been created or retained in the region, with an impact of more than $430 million in new payroll and $600 million in new capital investment.
