How does your membership support your business?

• MMAC and the Leadership Council provide a powerful network of leaders in southeastern Wisconsin who are facing similar issues, such as labor acquisition and supply chain challenges. It gives us the ability to share best practices across the region.

How have you personally or professionally benefited from participating in the Leadership Council?

• We were able to connect with a fellow MMAC member to share our approach on empowering our teams to volunteer in the community. We also appreciate the advocacy of MMAC through roundtables.

What is one professional goal you have for the next 90 days?

• To continue to drive our focus around inclusion and diversity through hiring and employee engagement resource groups.

How would you describe the 2-year outlook for your industry?

• Eaton is absolutely well positioned for growth. With the growth of the market, solar power and electric vehicles, it’s an ideal time to be in the commercial & industrial and utility segments.

Professional admirer – Name one person in the MKE region whom you admire and why.

• Sandy Cutler, retired chairman and chief executive officer of Eaton Corporation. Eaton’s rich history ties back to Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse. Thomas A. Edison, Inc., one of Thomas Edison’s original companies, combined with McGraw Electric Company in 1957 to form McGraw-Edison. McGraw-Edison Power Systems joined Cooper in 1985. Cutler initially worked for Cutler-Hammer, which was acquired by Eaton in 1979. Sandy drove the acquisition of Westinghouse in 1994 and is the reason why Eaton is here today. He led the acquisition of Cooper Power Systems in 2012, bringing Edison and Westinghouse back together again. My favorite movie is “The Current War,” inspired by the 19th-century competition between Edison and Westinghouse over which electric power delivery system would be used in the United States.

What was the last music or cultural event you attended - in person or virtual?

• I attended the Firestone Grand Prix in St. Petersburg, FL in February.

If you had a super power – what would it be?

• The ability to solve supply chain issues and fill all our open positions (www.eaton.com/careers)

What's one fact about you – that most of your colleagues don’t know?

• I lived in Kailua, Hawaii for a year when I was in fifth grade. I quickly forgot the need to wear shoes.

Out of town guests need entertaining – what is your go to destination and why?

• I’m a proud supporter of all the outstanding college and professional sports teams we have in Wisconsin.
